We’ll gain a total of a 1,115-meter altitude on this route – and half of it will be in the first 10 kilometers with an average slope of 5%.
At the end of the 18th kilometer, we’ll arrive at Maden Bay, an untouched Mediterranean treasure. The bay is ideal for camping, far removed from city noise.
This route takes us from Ovacık to the peak of Mount Sarıçınar at an altitude of 1,793 meters. However, our goal is not to rush to our final destination!
The cedar forests we’ll encounter will invite us to take a break. Apart from the cedars, peanies, an endemic species, are another good reason to stop.
The starting point is Ovacık, a plateau with an altitude of 1,100 meters and bursting with oxygen.
With our hands on the brakes, we’ll descend to Gedelme. There, a medieval Byzantine castle from the ninth century awaits us.
This is a short route but not an easy one! We’ll gain 700 meters altitude in seven kilometers which means a 10% slope! The route will end at the cable car station.
The cable car takes you to the peak of Mount Olympos by climbing from a altitude of 726 meters to 2,365 meters in 10 minutes.
We’re going to gain some altitude but it won’t be too challenging – even for amateurs! When we arrive in Çıralı, two gifts await us: the icy, clean spring water of the ancient city of Olympus, and a calm and quiet beach!
From İstanbul’s Historical Peninsula to the northern coast of its European side through to the Bosphorus…
This is a flat route that departs from Galata Bridge, passes Karaköy, Dolmabahçe Palace, Beşiktaş, Ortaköy, Kuruçeşme, Bebek, Emirgan, and ends in Sarıyer. In the process, you’ll discover the glory of one of the biggest metropoles of the world!
We’re starting by the Maiden’s Tower and heading north along İstanbul’s Asian coast!
At the start of the route, the Bosphorus will be on our left and on our right, we’ll have the centuries-old historical mosques and palaces. Then, we’ll continue with the Bosphorus on our right and explore the small forests of İstanbul…
We depart from a Cittaslow town, Seferihisar, and, traveling through Kocaçay Valley, we’ll reach Orhanlı neighboring an area of hot springs. Then, we’ll cross the Beyler Dam shore and climb to the village of Gödence at an altitude of 500 meters.
We set off from Küçükbahçe village. We’ll pass through the abandoned village of Sazak which boasts the most beautiful landscape of the peninsula. We’ll complete our route by arriving at Karaburun district center, nestled between daffodils and tangerine trees.
This route offers cyclists the bountiful beauties of the Aegean in a few hours. The route starts at Çeşme Pier and goes to Urla via Alaçatı. Before arriving in Urla, we make a stop at Erythrai, the millennia-old Ionian city in Ildırı. Afterwards, passing through many villages, we arrive at Urla Pier. Another ancient Ionian city, Klazomenai, is waiting for us where the course ends.
We set off from Klaros Sanctuary in the south of the İzmir Peninsula! On the way, we’ll pass Notion, another ancient city, in Değirmendere. Then, one by one, we’ll travel through the villages of Sancaklı, Çileme, Karakuyu, Yenice, Gölova, and Zeytinköy. Finally, we’ll arrive next to Ephesus in Selçuk. Remember that the lakes between Zeytinköy and Selçuk are migratory bird sanctuaries.
This route, which is not very long but is quite challenging, ends next to the House of the Virgin Mary.
We’re going to climb Bülbüldağı (Mt. Koressos) and gain an altitude of about 300 meters. At the top of the mountain, we’ll find the House of the Virgin Mary, one of Christianity’s holiest shrines.
It is a route between two very popular points of the Aegean, without ever leaving the sea! The 32-kilometer-long route starts at Çeşme Port. We pass two of the region’s beautiful beaches, Pırlanta Bay and Altınkum Bay, and return to Alaçatı.
The ancient sanctuary of Claros is our starting point, and the ancient city of Colophon is our finish point!
We’ll ride among fruit orchards and maquis shrubland, on forest roads and alleys. If desired, it’s possible to camp around Ataköy Pond.
We are in Seferihisar, a Cittaslow town. The route is a little bit short, but the number of places to visit is high! We’ll see the agora in the ancient port city of Teos and the harbor ruins. In Teos, we’ll also see the ancient parliment building, the cistern and theater, and the temple of Dionysos, the god of winemaking and awine.
We’re going to Şirince via olive groves and orchards!
First, we’ll climb through the olive groves and arrive at the point with historical ruins called “Kale” (castle in Turkish).
Şirince is a village known to many in connection to spiritual stories. Make sure to sample the variety of local wines, and don’t leave without purchasing pure olive oils and gum mastic!
We start off at a sacred shrine and end up in the ancient city of Ephesus, an UNESCO World Heritage Site!
We’ll depart from an altitude of 414 meters and descend to an altitude of 350 meters within five kilometers.
Yuvarlakçay is a secret location that will make you doubt you're on earth. It's an icy stream on Topgözü Canyon, between Köyceğiz and Ortaca districts.
The route won't push you too hard. In total, you'll gain an altitude of 302 meters. On the hottest days of summer, you've to go there, cool off in icy water, eat something in the restaurant known for its fresh trout!
Ortaca is a natural wonder district, at the east of the Dalyan River, which connects Lake Köyceğiz to the Mediterranean.
Our first route in Ortaca is not too challenging. It starts near the Dalyan River, heads most south, the beaches and Lake Sülüngür, come back! You've the opportunity of change your way and go İztuzu Beach, Kargıcak and Aşı Bays.
We’re going to pass around rock tombs in the Ancient City of Kaunos and around the other rock tombs of the region!
There are about 150 rock tombs in the ancient city. Fifteen of these tombs built in the form of a temple, in the Ionian order, entirely carved on the large rocks.
You'll climb non-stop 27th and 30th kilometers. The rest of the road has a flat profile!
A route between the sweetgum (liquidambar) trees! The sweetgum tree can only live in a few regions on the Earth: America, Chine, and fortunately, in southwest Anatolia.
The first half of the route passes through in the sweetgum forests. Some passages are just like a "jungle"! Toparlar Waterfall, at the north of the course, is an ideal point for cooling off in the summer months.
A mountain bike route around Dalaman River, which is 229 km long, flows into the sea by drawing the eastern boundaries of Ortaca. It creates the border between Aegean and the Mediterranean.
The route starts from Ortaca district center, continues on the old and new stream bed of Dalaman River, follows the sea until Sarıgerme Beach.
The route draws a circle around Lake Köyceğiz. The highest altitude we reach will be about 190 meters.
Lake Köyceğiz is an old Mediterranean bay. The alluvions that these steams have carried over the years have turned this old bay into a lake.
The route also passes through the Ancient City of Kaunos. This ancient city is the oldest settlement in the region.
Covered by the sea from the south and by the forests from the north, Dalaman is a district where green dominates all other colors except blue.
The route in this natural district isn’t so long but has a lot of climbing and descending. Although the last 12-13 kilometers are flat, the first part is very hilly. Get ready your legs!
Within 65 kilometers, we will time travel between old stone houses and modern villas, ancient cities and new settlements!
The route’s starting point, Söğüt, is an old commercial port. It is an ideal point for a quiet holiday and an organic diet.
After leaving Söğüt, we’ll descend hills and tiny islands will appear. Our final stop is Serçe Port – a great place for camping!
From the end of the Mediterranean to the turquoise Aegean Sea… In a short time, we’ll be at the highest point of the route, and arrive at the English Harbor. In World War II, British submarines escaped the German navy and took refuge here. That’s how the bay got its name!
A 30-kilometer-long route from the famous beach to calm paths!
Çamlı welcomes its visitors with its beautiful nature and history. Throughout our trip we’ll be immersed in nature and won’t come across any settlements.
There are boat journeys from Çamlı to Cedar Island which is home to the world-famous Cleopatra Beach where legend has it that Cleopatra and Antony once swam.
Then we’ll stop by Günnücek Forest and inhale the oxygen between the sweetgums, one of the rarest trees on Earth.
On this route, we’ll gain an altitude of about 1,100 meters. Our first stop will be Bayır village and from there we’ll head to Kumlubük.
In Kumlubuk, a virgin bay and a crystal clear sea will greet us. The course ends in Turunç. If you’re not too tired, we recommend visiting the ancient city of Amos, a few kilometers south of Turunç.
